Checkride Locations

Bruce conducts checkrides primarily from Lancaster Airport (KLNS).

Bruce will travel within a 25 mile radius of KLNS free of charge.  Any locations outside that radius will be billed for travel expenses at the IRS standard mileage rate (you can look up the current mileage rate here)

Checkride Fees (Effective Feb 1, 2025)

All fees are payable in cash only

Private Pilot – $900

Single engine add-on – $900

Instrument Rating – Airplane – $900

Commercial Pilot – Airplane – $900

Flight Instructor – Instrument Airplane – $1000

CFI Renewal – $900

CFI Reinstatement – $130

Retests are a $100 administrative fee plus $130 per hour

Continuances are a $100 administrative fee plus $130 per hour

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations for legitimate sickness, weather, or maintenance issues are free of charge

Cancellations for any other reason require 48 hours of notice.  If less than 48 hours of notice is given, a $100 fee will be charged.

Payment

Please bring full payment to your practical test in cash.  No other forms of payment are acceptable.

Acceptable Aircraft

Any aircraft used for a Private Pilot practical test must have dual controls.  Throwover controls (Beech style) are acceptable for instrument and commercial checkrides.  Please mention if your aircraft has this style control system in your checkride booking.
